On August 30th, Loyola Marymount University celebrated the grand opening of the William H. Hannon Library. The 88,000-square-foot library houses a media lounge, a café, an exhibits area, three reading rooms, a faculty area and an information commons. Group study rooms offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the city of Los Angeles. Kristine Brancolini, the dean of the library, said “Our goal is to be 100% user-focused.”
LMU Executive MBA students are already using the new library both for its extensive business research capabilities and for Study Team meetings. According to Dr. Bill Lindsey, EMBA Program Director “Developing our student's research skills is an important element of the EMBA program, particularly in the Business Opportunity Assessment and Strategic Opportunity Implementation projects in their second year.”
