Our curriculum uses actual business settings and case studies as a way to cement classroom concepts into practical, real-world applications. Graduates receive an MBA degree from LMU's AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration.

Our Executive MBA program prepares you to:

  • Think strategically in today's global business environment.
  • Make results driven decisions.
  • Build and lead high-performing organizations.
  • Be an effective, principled leader.

Program Delivery and Schedule

The LMU EMBA program is structured as a cohort and offers a modular curriculum in an executive setting. Members of your class begin the program at the same time in August and move through the curriculum together, completing the degree requirements for graduation as a group in May of year 2 — 22 months total.

Class is delivered in a hybrid format — 2 Saturdays a month on-campus and 1 Saturday a month online. There are 4 modules (fall, spring, fall, spring) and a summer session between year 1 and 2. The program includes a pre-program orientation residential, a year 1 domestic trip and a year 2 international trip.

A Dynamic Classroom Environment

The average LMU EMBA cohort is 20–25 students per incoming class; this is an optimal size for providing a robust learning experience. The cohort is large enough to include students from a broad range of industries and professional experiences, but not so large as to limit a high level of collaboration among students and faculty.

At the beginning of year 1 and year 2, you will be assigned to a study team. Each team is comprised of 4–5 students and assignments seek to provide each team with a mix of complementary business skills (e.g. marketing, finance) and leadership styles.

Teamwork is a central theme of the LMU EMBA program. The majority of courses and assignments are based on students' ability to work together as a unified team, set common goals and resolve conflicts. Teams are a part of real-world organizational structures; it's essential that students fully understand the complex dynamics of a team.
