Bazillia Gutierrez is a Sr. Philanthropic Advisor with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In her current role, she is responsible for Major Gifts and Planned Giving engagement in the Southern California market to support St. Jude’s mission to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
Bazillia has worked with non-profit organizations primarily in the healthcare and hospital industry for the past 10 years. She also specializes in corporate philanthropy, strategic budget development, implementation of income optimization, special events, peer-to-peer fundraising, multi-cultural engagement, volunteer management and board engagement and development. Bazillia has previously worked with the City of Hope, American Cancer Society and Make-A-Wish Los Angeles.
Prior to her transition to the non-profit sector, Bazillia worked in corporate America as an Investigative Analyst for broadcast and telecommunications companies.
Bazillia earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Phoenix and also received a certificate in Legal Spanish Interpreting/Translating from Cal State Los Angeles.
