Nadia Gonzalez Barranca is an Operational Risk Professional, working for MUFG Union Bank, the world’s 5th largest bank by total assets. She focuses her efforts with Operational Risk Management, which integrates risk management practices into processes, systems, and culture.
She currently works with the Scenario Analysis team to identify and mitigate risks with the help of expert opinion from businesses and risk managers to derive a reasoned assessment of likelihood and impact of severe, yet plausible operational risk events. In addition, she works with the Internal Loss Data team to report on the bank’s operational losses from those held in the United States and in Latin America/Canada to help ensure proper taxonomy classification; and other Risk Management projects such as bringing uniformity to bank processes.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, Northridge.
